The fight goes down, and the confession of Hiro to Karmi goes the same, and the team defeats her on the bridge. Faced with no other choice, Di turns herself into a monster. The battle with Monster Karmi and Hiro gets moved to Torii Gate Bridge and out of Sycorax, where she tries to make her getaway out of the city. Krei, Granville, and Bluff Dunder (!!) all get turned into monsters, and the team has to deal with them. Liv turns on her and sics Monster Karmi on her, Hiro, and Baymax.

Part III is where things start really differing, and a lot of what is here gets cut, probably necessitating making two parts and not three. Liv gets cured early and not at the end, and Fred’s idea of a rescuer comes in the form of Globby and not Ned Ludd.Ĭurious, because Globby never showed up in “City of Monsters” at all. The team also fights Bessie here and not out in the wild. Part II starts off the same, but Hiro not being kidnapped in Part I allows him to come to Sycorax with the rest of the team and making the deal with Di there. It does bring in the rest of the team a bit further into the fold when it comes to Karmi and her transformation and not just at the end like the show did. There also seemed to be a fair amount of things left on the cutting room floor or changed. So the finale was suppose to be three parts, and ended up being two. It paints a very…different picture of what could have happened in those episodes, as well as probably changing what could’ve happened in Chief Cruz’s arc and maybe Season 3. So in case you guys didn’t see it, Bob Schooley, executive producer for Big Hero 6, posted a few pictures of a first draft/initial outline of the “City of Monsters” finale on Twitter.
#BIG HERO 6 KARMI SERIES#
big hero 6 big hero 6 the series hiro hamada karmi karmi haters It probably didn’t help, but I don’t think that was entirely the reason.īut too bad for the haters she now has a shiny, self-built Infinity Gauntlet to rub into everyone’s faces. I have little experience with Bakugo and none with Steve, so I can’t speak for them.īut as soon as Karmi rolled around, a lot of people wrote her off immediately, completely ignoring the genuine development she had in the show.ĭoes her being a girl have something to do with it? I don’t know.

The Malfoy example is noteworthy because people seemed to like him because he was a bully, not because he eventually redeemed himself. She just has so little experience with it (the only other noteworthy example being the object of her affections annoyance, Hiro). I wouldn’t even say that her social skills are terrible she seemed perfectly fine getting along with Honey Lemon during the Globby episode. Or the first ten minutes of her first episode? So yeah it’s also a problem with sexism.ĭid some people just not watch past her first episode or something?

In the Manga Hiro is actually a lot like Karmi, it’s almost scary.įemale characters in media are more judged in generell especially rude, introverted and sassy characters who have flaws and still have a lot to learn.Ĭharacters like Draco Malfoy, Bakugo and Steve from Trollhunters are more of a “bully” character that they claim Karmi to be and they are extremely loved and popular within the fandom. Karmi is actually what Hiro would have become if Tadashi, Baymax and his friends weren’t there. He just rolls his eyes, is annoyed and plays along with they rivalry. Hiro doesn’t even come off as a victim like he’s seriously hurt or mental suffering from it. Her social skills were terrible and the series actually explained why. She’s either reserved or neutral towards other characters and avoids other students on purpose. The only character she’s actually rude towards is Hiro. They hate bully characters in generall (in my opinion Karmi is a sassy annoying rival with no social skills and not a bully) so they claim that these kind of characters are irredeemable because of their experience with real life bullies.īut things are not black and white and people tend to forget that Karmi is still a 16 year old girl who still has a lot to learn. I think the main reason is self-projection.
